Botanical Family: Cedrus atlantica

Extraction Method/Origin: Steam distillation from bark—Morocco, USA

Chemical Constituents: Sesquiterpenes (up to 90%): α-, β-, & γ-himachalenes (>55%), cadinene; Sesquiterpene Alcohols (up to 40%): alantol (<20%), α-caryophyllenol (<10%), β-cubenol (<10%), cedrol, cedrenol; Sesquiterpene Ketones (20%): α- & β-alantones.

Properties: Antifungal, anti-infectious, antiseptic (urinary and pulmonary), astringent, diuretic, insect repellent, and sedative.

Common Primary Uses: Calming, cellulite, hair loss, tension, tuberculosis, urinary infection, yoga.

Folklore: Cedrus atlantica is supposed to be the species most closely related to the biblical Cedars of Lebanon.

Historical Uses: Cedarwood was used traditionally by the North American Indians to enhance their spiritual communication. It creates the symbolic effect of the umbrella protecting the earth and bringing energy in from the universe. At night the animals in the wild lie down under the tree for the protection, recharging, and rejuvenation the trees bring them.

French Medicinal Uses: Anger (calming effect), arteriosclerosis, bronchitis, calming, cellulite, diuretic, hair loss, nervous tension, tuberculosis, urinary infections.

Other Possible Uses: This oil is recognized for its purifying properties. It may also help acne, anxiety, arthritis, congestion, coughs, cystitis, dandruff, psoriasis, purification, sinusitis, skin diseases, and water retention. It may help open the pineal gland. It also helps to reduce oily secretions.

Usage Instructions
Application: Apply to Vita Flex Points and/or directly on area of concern.
