Chemical Constituents: Oxides: 1,8 cineol (up to 55%), caryophyllene oxide, humulene oxide; Monoterpenes: α-pinene (<14%), β-pinene (<9%), camphene (<8%), l-limonene, myrcene, p-cymene, α- & β-phellandrenes, α- & γ-terpinenes; Ketones (<32%): camphor (<30%), β- thujone, verbenone, dcarvone, hexanone, heptanone; Alcohols (<20%): borneol (<12%), α-terpineol (<5%), linalol, verbenol; Sesquiterpenes (<3%): β-caryophyllene, humulene; Phenols: terpinen-4-ol; Esters: bornyl & fenchyl acetates; Acids: rosemaric acid.

Properties: Analgesic antibacterial, anticancer, anticatarrhal, antifungal, anti-infectious, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and expectorant.

Historical Uses: The rosemary plant was regarded as sacred by many civilizations. It was used as a fumigant to help drive away evil spirits, and to protect against plague and infectious illness.

French Medicinal Uses: Arthritis, blood pressure (low), bronchitis, cellulite, cholera, colds, dandruff, depression (nervous), diabetes, fatigue (nervous/mental), flu, fluid retention, hair loss, headache, hepatitis (viral), menstrual periods (irregular), sinusitis, tachycardia, vaginitis.

Other Possible Uses: This oil may help arteriosclerosis, bronchitis, chills, colds, colitis, cystitis, dyspepsia, nervous exhaustion, flu, oily hair, the immune system (stimulate), otitis, palpitations, prevent respiratory infections, sinusitis, sour stomach, stress-related illness. Note: This chemotype is said to be best used for pulmonary congestion, slow elimination, candida, chronic fatigue, and infections (especially staph and strep).
